Prosper growth wading?

Take a look at the charts provided via LendingStats.

In the recently closed month of May, unique membership growth dropped to below ~29k. This is still an increase over May 2006 in which unique membership grew by ~11k, but a trend seems to be beginning. Unique membership peaked in February of 2007, with ~45k new members and in the subsequent months dropped to ~39k and ~30k in March and April.

Is this a concern? Not just yet, as you will notice there seems to be some seasonality in unique membership when you compare the February – May months in 2006. Regardless, this is a statistic to be monitored as the site continues to expand its user base.
